Learn to Let Go of Judgment: The Power of Forgiveness

We are all connected! Recognizing that everyone is in a different place in their journey is important and so is doing this with peaceful acceptance and lack of judgment. You may feel that someone's behaviors are wrong, but it is important to still see that all people are part of the Divine. You can view murder, cruelty and oppression as wrong and still honor the connectedness all people on this planet have with each other.

You are not judge and jury here. You are a work in progress, a reflection of the Divine upon the planet, an eternal substance of Light incarnate. As with all things, the manner in which you use judgment against others is an opportunity to see where you use judgment against yourself.

If you have reached forgiveness with yourself you will be able to reach forgiveness with others. Forgiveness is not about making excuses for the wrongs done nor is it a ticket to turn around and do more harm. Forgiveness is about releasing the negative between people. Anger and hate feed upon those who choose to carry them and they become poisonous to the soul. You can choose to forgive someone because it is powerful for you. To forgive is not saying that a wrong thing is right, it is saying that you can see this person with compassion and let the whole thing go. You are doing yourself a good turn when you choose to forgive, for ultimately, forgiveness is about understanding connectedness.

There is indeed justice in the universe, but it is not about judgment. Rather, justice is about balance and connectedness. The abandonment of connectedness through injury to another becomes, in the end, an injury to the Self for it leads to a place from which there is no escape. The only way to free oneself from the injuries that have been wrought is through the keys of love and healing which are a matter of movement from denial into acknowledgement, recognition, desire, willingness and action into the arena of healing. This requires a journey within the part of the Self that acted in an injurious manner.

Prison walls may contain a person's destructive behavior, but only the interior journey of the heart-soul can truly set someone free. Prison is about linear concepts for it is the internalization of a society's behavioral standards, and these are not enough in universal terms. Connectedness is something each person carries forever within him/herself and so the universe requires of all beings the lessons of connectedness for this understanding will lead them home again.

Forgiveness is about forgetting and remembering, about bringing the remembrance of the Light into places of darkness (which is the place of forgetting). Remembrance is the connectedness which IS the Light. You cannot understand what deep places some spirits have chosen to journey so that Light could be brought into the seemingly deepest recesses of forgetting. There is mercy love, let it also be yours. See each other with mercy and compassion and perhaps one day you will then be able to see each other with love.

With Love and Light to All!
Natlie
